  • Adding it to the language vs explicitly calling Resize.
• Reviewing 73: FunctionKnowsVectorSize
  • Provide something that accesses the target size attributes.
  • Works for assignments and ?port maps?
  • Complexity?
  • Only works when there is a target or a type qualifier
  • function to_unsigned(x : integer) return result_vector : unsigned
  • x <= to_unsigned(1)
  • Table Fill - Sine wave - currently requires 2 parameters: number of points and width of vector
  • simplifies assignments, but causes run time errors if used in an expression.
  • Is anyone willing to work on the LRM text for this?
