1. Reviewed Patent information

- Chas reviewed the patent information which can be found at http://standards.ieee.org/board/pat/pat-slideset.ppt

  - There is a champions meeting tomorrow.  Neil has sent a list of all the items
    which were passed so far.  Anything done today, may not be discussed tomorrow.
    Chas will send a list of approved items from today to Neil so they can be added
    to the agenda for tomorrow.

8. Reviewed items with proposals

• Item 2645 Ballot comment #154 Properties returning DPI information on task/function declaration are missing

Chas had helped Amit with getting the complete proposal completed, including the changes to the include file.
Chas asked if Abi and Jim were still concerned about it.  Abi is, but doesn't know enough about DPI to vote
against it.  Jim thinks that Amit has done enough.  Friendly amendment to remove a space.  Change capitals
to lower case on arrow lines, change font for TRUE and not bold.  

Chuck/Michael.  PASSED as amended.  (unanimous).  Amit to update proposal and delete prior proposal version.

• Item 2641 Ballot comment #150 Formal argument types for import /export subroutines should include time and integer

Friendly amendment to add a comma after 'integer'.  Section number should 35.5.6.  Remove some of the text after
the line to be changed (eliminate indentation issues).  Use a fixed with font for the keywords.

Chuck/Jim.  PASSED as amended (unanimous).  Amit to update proposal and delete prior proposal version.

• Item 2640 Ballot comment #149 Using the string "DPI" should result in a compile time warning

Chuck/Francoise.  PASSED (unanimous).

• Item 2639 Ballot comment #148 Simplify definition of import/export call chains.

Change third sentence in second paragraph to be:
This call chain can comprise multiple intra-language...

Amit/Chuck as amended PASSED (unanimous). 

• Item 2638 Ballot comment #147 no explicit behavior of a call to a DPI export subroutine

svSetScope needs to be in a fixed width font.  Remove comma after closing paren.

Jim/Chuck as amended PASSED (unanimous).

• Item 2636 Ballot comment #145 contradiction for return value of imported tasks,assigned

Friendly amendment to modify as follows:

  The special return values do not require a change in call syntax, of either import or export DPI
  tasks in the SystemVerilog code.

  Calls to import tasks in SystemVerilog code are indistinguishable from calls to native
  SystemVerilog tasks. Likewise, calls to DPI export tasks in SystemVerilog code are indistinguishable
  from calls to non DPI SystemVerilog tasks.

• Item 2588 Omission of package as a legal context in which DPI imports can be declared

• Item 2633 Ballot comment #17 Unimplemented Post-Observed PLI region clutters description

• Item 2632 Ballot comment #16 Unimplemented Preponed PLI region clutters description

Francoise moves that we close 2632 and 2633 as 'No change needed' with the comment that
the SV-CC has chosen to retain these regions for future use.  Chuck seconds.  PASSED (unanimous).

• Item 2572 sv_vpi_user.h (Annex N source) needs repairs

Abi/Chuck.  PASSED (unanimous).

• Item 2427 "vpiEdge, vpiDirection should be int, not bool"

Chuck/Francoise.  PASSED (unanimous).
