1-dimensional interpolation - status and next steps

Ernst suggested to change the identifiers of the enumeration types for better reading. Change TDM_D to TDM_CLOSEST for instance and so on.

Ernst: The extrapolation methods for periodic extrapolation [TDM_P(eriodic)] and extrapolation with the function of the first and/or last interpolation interval [TDM_EXTRAP] should also be provided for closest point lookup and the Spline interpolation methods.

Ernst: Where to declare the type COMPLEX_VECTOR should be decided later.

Requirements for real-valued multi-dimensional interpolation

Ernst: Data representation must avoid wasting memory. Data should not be provided in a matrix-like type.

Better understanding of the consequences is necessary.
