Ernst has updated the material on multidimensional interpolation/extrapolation ([[%PUBURL%/%WEB%/ProjectTableDrivenModeling/interpolation.txt][txt]]). It contains a description of efficient data organization in the multidimensional case.

Joachim has prepared a proposal for declaration of table data types ([[%PUBURL%/%WEB%/ProjectTableDrivenModeling/proposal_table_types.pdf][pdf]]) and package header declarations ([[%PUBURL%/%WEB%/ProjectTableDrivenModeling/tdm_v0.6.pdf][pdf]], [[%PUBURL%/%WEB%/ProjectTableDrivenModeling/tdm_v0.6.vhd][vhd]]).
---+++ Discussion on definition of VHDL(-AMS) function headers and standard package header resp. (Phase 3)

The following topics were discussed without a final result
   * Opportunities to provide one table data type for one- and multi-dimensional interpolation instead of two types (TABLE_DATA_1D_REAL, TABLE_DATA_ND_REAL).
   * How to provide functions to prepare table data that read in data from a file 
      * Use of a separated package for this purpose or not
      * Characterization of the file format by a string or an element that belongs to an enumeration type that has to be declared yet.

Another topic of the discussion was on ordering data from outermost to innermost independent variables. It should be decided whether the ordering has to be a task of the user or can be done by the interpolation functions. There was no final result concerning this question.

Ernst suggested to figure out pros and cons concerning the different positions in a separate paper.
