Agenda:
- Reminder of IEEE patent policy.
See:
http://standards.ieee.org/board/pat/pat-slideset.ppt
- Minutes approval
Tom asked to fix his comment in the minutes: "Tom: disable iff is non-sampled to make the simulation efficient." -> "Tom: non-sampled disable iff makes simulation inefficient."
John seconds.
The motion passed: 0n/0a/11y.
- Issue prioritization
Dmitry explained the prioritization algorithm. The sorting is done according to increasing values of "Updated Score" (column AV in the spreadsheet): each empty cell introduces a penalty of 100. The lower is the score the more important is the issue.
Ed: Then the categories won't be taken into account.
Dmitry: Let's order according the categories: first the category of the first item in the sorted list, then the category of the first item in the remaining list having a different categoroy, etc,
Ed: Then there we will include items that nobody wants because they belong to an important category.
John: Why not to adopt the rating system of other committees?
Dmitry: Added a column AW: weighed score.
Scott: Let's go through the categories and discuss the results.
John moves to sort according to the weighed score.
Tom: seconds.
The motion passed: 0n/0a/11y.
Dmitry suggested to drop from the list the item 2722 "Errors in Figures 16-14, 16-15, and 16-16" since this item is a pure erratum and does not have to be prioritized.
Dmitry: If we build the priority list according to the categories, all items from the list will be included since there are only 18 categories.
Surrendra: Let's drop the low importance items.
Tom: Let's cut at the item 30.
Dmitry: Then the "if" construct for sequences will be included into the list, but the "case" construct for sequences won't. Let's cut the list after the "case" construct.
John moves to accept the following criterion: The ordered list will be sorted by categories until the item 2297 "Case construct for sequences" (including), and their order of items inside the category will be according to their rank, and this rank will also be indicated in the list.
Ed seconds.
The motion passed: 0n/0a/11y.
- Issue resolution
No time left.
- Opens.
