Technical topics

Brief summary of discussion, pros and cons, and conclusions

  • GB and MP insist that the current drafts of data and signal chapters must be reviewed by non writers to move on. SE mentions lots of details are missing, gives some lexical definition examples. Also, SE insists that starting the BNF grammar would help understand syntax, and contexts in which it occurs.

  • SE agrees to send comments what details is missing and where.

  • MD asks that the hot topics areas for discussion for the next meeting should always be clearly indicated and linked visible from the main page. SD will implement ASAP.

  • MP will upload the interface chapter on the wiki.

  • SD informs that the IEEE support services contract has been extended to cover for 2008 activities, essentially providing document reviews. The workgroup should make best efforts to converge on some chapters and submit them for review in first half of 08 to check early enough the writing is compliant with IEEE requirements.

  • SD will redistribute Procedures and Policies to all for vote approval, and update and send to IEEE the Working group roster.
