Call to order

Ernst started the meeting at 8:05 am PDT.

Approval of agenda

Agenda was approved with no objections and motion by Alain seconded by David.

Administrative issues

Approval of April 8, 2015 minutes
The April 8, 2015 minutes were approved after correction, with motion by David seconded by Alain.

Patent policy
Ernst offered to show the patent policy, but presentation was unnecessary since the attendees are all regulars.

PAR status
The request for an extension until December 2017 was on the agenda for the New Standards Committee meeting on June 5, 2015. Ernst was still waiting for an answer. He will inform on the decision if he knows it.

Public Reviews
After July 2015, a standard is open for Public Review before the ballot starts. Therefore, it is necessary to plan for 45 to 60 days of additional time from being ready to ballot till Review Committee.

Project discussion

Table-driven modelling
There was a short discussion on default parameters of the PREPARE_TABLE_DATA functions in the multi-dimensional case. It was recommended to declare default vector parameters long enough to handle all practical cases.

Handling of copyrighted material
No progress

LRM status
Current status is figured out on the meeting slides. The ID 201x-03 "Architecture statements" of the Language Change Specifications for 1076.1-201x was discussed in detail. This LCS focuses on the integration of clause 15 Simultaneous statements in IEEE Std 1076.1-2007 into clause 11 Concurrent statements in IEEE Std 1076-2008. There was a discussion on different approaches how to organize this. The final solution should be coordinated with the 1076.1 WG. The discussion shall be continued. Outstanding issues (as e.g. VHPI problems) shall be talked about at the next WG meeting.

Standards Dictionary Database
Standard Definition Database replaces IEEE Std 100 Dictionary of IEEE Standard Terms. Ernst will organize access for Alain (as technical editor) if needed.

Other activities
Ernst took part in the P1076 discussion on interfaces. The intention is to define an interface concept to simplify managing connection that occur in the same or similar form in different locations.Ernst intends to prevent a solution that cannot scale to needs of P 1076.1.

A change of project planning had to be done in order to react on the new Public Review process.
