Call to order on July 9, 2012 at 8:05 am PDT (17:05 CEST)
Joachim opens the meeting and started to present the meeting slides (
ppt).
Volunteer for minutes
Joachim takes the notes.
Approval of agenda
Agenda unanimously approved.
Review and approve minutes from last meeting
Approval of the minutes from the last meeting was shifted to a later date. An updated version 0.10 of the reference implementation contains a PREPARE_TABLE_DATA_TOUCHSTONE function for reading [Network Data] block values of a Touchstone file. For further information see "Action items from the last meeting" of the meeting slides (
ppt
).
Check the status against the requirements
The requirements approved at the beginning of the activities are available in the document "Requirements for Table-driven Modeling" (
txt
). The current status covers TDM-R1 to TDM-R13. An open issue is the handling of IBIS and (Excel) CSV file (see TDM-R14).
Problems that have to be solved
- Hiding in the package header TABLE_INTERPOLATION_PKG the declaration of
- TABLE_DATA_REAL
- TABLE_DATA_COMPLEX
- Allow additional declarations only for the reference implementation, e.g.
type REAL_VECTOR_ARRAY is array (NATURAL range <>) of REAL_VECTOR;
- Declaration of function interfaces to handle [TDM-R14}
- IBIS files
- Excel CSV files
- Final documents with the results of the activities of this subcommittee
Decision on how to continue
- Arpad suggests to support also reading of [Noise Data] from a Touchstone file.
- It would be helpful to extract more information from a Touchstone file (order of parameters, reference resistances, kind of parameters, ...). It has to be decided whether this has to be done in the current activities. An alternative would be to provide a package with functions that provide solutions for this requirements outside the TDM activities.
- Arpad pointed out that reading [... Waveform] and VI tables from an IBIS file should be supported. Parameter of the corresponding PREPARE_TABLE_DATA function should point to the associated keyword.
Next meeting
Because of a time conflict with another repeating event it was suggested to tun the next web meeting on Tuesday, September 11, 2012 at 8am PDT or 17:00 CEST. It must be checked whether this is a suitable date.
AOB
None.
Adjourn
The meeting was closed at 18:15 CEST. An invitation will be sent out for the next meeting.
Action items
Arpad:
- Provides material on the IBIS file format.
Joachim:
- Proposal for handling IBIS and CSV files.
