Hi,
The following is from the 1076.1 group and can impact us as they
are introducing matrix packages and associated types.
In interest of getting more eyes on this it would be a good
idea to get people from the VHDL study group (and soon to
be VHDL working group) to take a look at it.
Best,
Jim

Jim,
I sent the requirements for the vector/matrix operations to the 1076.1 WG for review and approval. At the same time I want to give your study group the opportunity to provide feedback. I saw on the
invitation for your last week's meeting that you were sending it to 4 lists specific to VHDL. Since I don't know how exactly you are using these lists I send the document to you for appropriate
distribution. Alternatively, tell me which list to send it to, isac@eda.org maybe?
FYI, I asked for requirements to be formulated to have some control over creeping features. They are not very formal, but they intend to bound the problem.
Thanks.
Ernst

All,
The subcommittee working on support for vector/matrix operations in VHDL-AMS has submitted its requirements document for review and approval by the Working Group. The document is attached. To conduct
review and approval I am calling for a vote with similar parameters as an IEEE ballot: participants can vote to approve, reject or abstain, and they can comments on individual requirements or the
document as a whole.
According to the Policies of the Working Group, only Working Group members who are also DASC members and who have attended at least two of the last 3 WG meetings are eligible to vote. WG members who
are not eligible to vote are still invited to participate; their comments will be considered, and their votes will count towards future eligibility to vote.
Do you approve the requirements for vector/matrix operations in VHDL-AMS prepared by the VMO subcommittee?
....... Affirmative (no comments)
....... Affirmative (with comments)
....... Do Not Approve (Negative with comments)
....... Do Not Approve (Negative without comments)
....... Abstain
The vote will close on Tuesday, December 21, 2010. Please return your vote to christen.1858@comcast.net.
