Hi, We have had some discussion as to whether 1076.6 should or should not be included into 1076. 1076.6-2004 _unmodified_ is not suitable for inclusion in 1076. It defines a number of attributes in it. Most of them are either not implemented by tools or implemented under a different name. Resolving that down to a useful set and getting industry concurrence is going to be a significant effort - worth while since while many vendors use a similar name, yet have some significant differences (ie: similar statemachine attributes - some apply to a signal, some to a type). My expectation (based on participating in 1076.6) is that the amount of work required take longer than we have to complete the next revision of 1076. Given that this will take a significant amount of work, to even consider 1076.6 inclusion, someone will need to step up and take leadership of it. Anyone willing to commit to this? Otherwise, I recommend we set it aside until someone steps up.
