Hello,
  I would suggest we extend VCD/EVCD instead of a new format as
several ASIC projects/designs use mixed-language IPs (some VHDL, some
Verilog/SV) and VCD is more in use (can also be used by ATPG tools
etc.). Also I believe with SV-RTL features adding more data-types to
Verilog VCD can/should be extended anyway.
