Re: [vhdl-200x] 1076 Officer Elections: call for nominations

Hi John,
I would like to nominate myself for Chair.

-----
Position statement for Jim Lewis
I was vice chair during the initial development for 1076-2008
and lead the fast track effort. This effort was forwarded to
Accellera and most of the work proposed by the 1076-FT group
became part of the standard. I was chair during the finalization
of the 1076-2008 work and helped push the work thorough the remainder
of the IEEE process.

Since I only do VHDL work, I have a strong vested interest in VHDL.
In reality, chair work is not a technical position, but instead is
an administrative position. Should someone else be interested in the
work, have a strong vested interest, and get them selves elected,
I would be happy the help them work through the IEEE process as
much as they like.
------

Best,
Jim
