[vhdl-200x] VHDL Accellera & IEEE

Hi,
This is a reminder. In 2005, IEEE VASG entered
into an agreement with Accellera in which the
Accellera VHDL TSC has been given permission to work
on language changes to 1076. Details of this are
posted on the VASG webpage at:
     http://www.eda-twiki.org/vasg

So if you want to participate more actively in the
VHDL technical work, make sure to join the Accellera
VHDL TSC. Note you can join without being an Accellera
member - you simply need to register with Accellera.
To do this go to:
     http://www.accellera.org/activities/vhdl/

Under the title: Join This Committee, select the link
that follows, "If you are not an Accellera member".

Fill in the form.
In the box request to join Accellera VHDL TSC

You also may request to join some of the subcommittees/reflectors:
     * VHDL-Requirements -- Approve enhancement requests
     * VHDL-Extensions -- transform request in to feature proposal
     * VHDL-Review -- approve feature proposal (ensure matches request)
     * VHDL-LRM -- transform feature proposal to LRM edits

Send the form to:
  Lynn Horobin, Administration & Marketing

Once you get a login, you can go to the private area and
download member documents (an easy way to find this area
is to follow the link on the VASG page).

Note that within Accellera (as is true with most standards
groups), technical decisions are typically based on
technical merit and not a paid membership, so active
participation will ensure your ideas are heard.

Cheers,
Jim

Accellera VHDL TSC and Subgroup participant
