Hi John,
Yes, one of the assumptions is that I will be "cutting and pasting" the
proposals into the rest of the changes for the LRM. Please take a look at
www.eda.org/sv/LRMChanges_draft2.html or
http://www.eda-twiki.org/sv/Changes_draft2/LRM_Changes_17.html for changes in the
assertion section for examples.
I appreciate the amount of effort you are going to have to go through. There
are two kinds of changes that are being made in the 3.1a LRM. One is errata.
This is, by far, the most time consuming for me since I have to make sure
that the text in the 3.1 LRM and the change are clearly delineated. The best
help you can provide here is to make sure that the original text is present
and any changes to that text are marked (deletion and addition both).
The other kind of change is the integration of new proposals. The primary
effort here is in formatting the new proposals to match the current LRM:
Times New Roman 10pt for all text
Courier New 9pt for all examples and language syntax
Bold on all keywords
Format of section headers (Arial 11 for x.x level headers, Arial 10
for x.x.x level headers)
The templates on the sv web site actually contain the style sheets (frame
and word) for all of the appropriate formatting. You have to open the style
sheet to see the formats (which is also how you would apply the formats as
well.

David

Surrendra:
As far as I can see, the SV templates are free of
content.
I thought they were going to show me how the
LRM change instructions should be formatted so
as to limit the variation in the style.
Now I am missing the point of why we are supposed
to use these templates. Is the idea that someone
is going to cut and past from them into the LRM
document? If so, then I don't think I am competent
to do this job, what with all the fonts and colors.
Since preparing these proposal drafts is going
to be virtually my entire weekend's entertainment,
I'd like to stick to something I know how to do,
like LaTeX.
