IP Encryption - P1735

Accellera TC List

• DTA 5 - have bit/bit_vector representations of all types and permit logic operations and indexing
  • Reject
• DTA 13 - user defined positional values of enum literals
  • SystemVerilog - does this
  • no interest
• DTA 6 - Eliminate type conversions whenever possible
  • Reject
• DTA 9 - automatic garbage collection of access types (perhaps based on reference count)
  • Need proposal - language does not prohibit garbage collection
  • Java supports automatic garbage collection with deallocate as an indication
• DTA 17 - Named events (data-less signals)
  • It is a subset of a signal, so is it worth the effort.
  • Perhaps not worth doing - can already be done by programming
  • Without 'transaction it might be worth something
  • Would it support multiple drivers without resolution function?
  • no interest
