The terms of both the Chair and the Vice-Chair of the P1076.1 Working Group will end on December 31, 2015. Elections to fill these positions will be held based on the new Operating Procedures of the WG, which just have been approved by our sponsor, the DASC. The revision of the Operating Procedures was necessary after the elimination of the position of Treasurer and followed the disposition of the bank account earlier this year.
I have asked our Secretary Joachim Haase to act as Election Officer to manage the elections to fill the two positions for the next 2-year term. The end of this next term of office will coincide with the expiration of our PAR, whose duration was extended earlier this year. Joachim will first solicit nominations for the open positions and then carry out the elections.
