All,

The P1735 Working Group has made available 2 draft documents for review. This group has been working on Recommended Practice for Encryption and Management of Electronic Design Intellectual Property (IP).

I have uploaded the two documents to the private area under the Documents link at the P1076.1 web site at http://www.eda-twiki.org/vhdl-ams. To access documents in the private area you must be logged in to the twiki site.

 Working Group Chairs for P1076, P1076.1, P1800, and P1801

As we progress towards ballot in the P1735 working group.we want to solicit feedback on our draft from your working group members.  As this is not a published draft, we request that it not be distributed via publicly accessible archives or mail reflectors. Storing in private working group archives (login restricted wikis or file repositories) is fine.  Please circulate to the designate representatives for your entities, or among working group members. Feel free to openly discuss on your usual reflectors and forums as long as the draft itself is not transmitted there. That will help all of us to comply with IEEE policy on distribution of unpublished drafts.

NOTES for reviewers:

1)  Two documents should accompany this liaison review request:
P1735_d3_2013.pdf is the current review draft
P1735_d3a_2013.pdf contains 2 clauses to update the D3 draft (replacement clauses 9 and 10)

2)  The review cycle closes on April 12, 2013, and comments should be returned to the P1735 Chair (dovich@cadence.com) and the P1735 Technical Editor (chippewea@aol.com). Comments received after that date may not influence the content of our ballot draft.

3)  The D3a update clauses will likely have the most significant relevance to your working group.  Start there as we are most interested in your feedback in those two clauses.  We are of course happy to get any feedback you may have on the rest of the draft and encourage review there if you have the time.

4)  Comments may be directly embedded in  the PDF files using a recent version of Adobe Acrobat Reader software. Return the marked up PDF to the P1735 Chair and Technical Editor.  If annotating the PDF isn't possible, return a plain ASCII text file with comments tagged by clause/sub-clause, page number, and line number.

5) When returning comments to P1735, please indicate whether the response is an individual one from a working group member, or if it is a consensus response (and possible dissenting opinion) from the whole working group.

On behalf of the P1735 Working Group, I want to thank you for reviewing these materials and providing feedback.
