[vhdl-200x-ft] "_update" packages

One of the things that came up recently is the possibility of
createing "_update" packages.

These would take the form of:
use work.std_logic_1164_update.all;
use work.numeric_std_update.all;

Such packages would be relatively easy to create, and I could release them
to a sub-page on the FT page.  It would allow people to get used to the
new packages, and allow them to be put in current VHDL.  Many tools now
have built in IEEE libraries, making our current new IEEE library a
problem.

I could also put them in a library called "ieee_update".  Good idea?
Bad idea?  Useful?
