Jim,

Thanks for posting the draft paper for review. It looks very good and
covers the bases well.

A couple of comments on Section 17 arising from a quick scan:

You describe "N-Nary" expressions and suggest they are similar to
conditional assignments. First, I'd suggest they be called "if
expressions," since that more specifically describes their function. The
term "N-ary" (not "N-Nary") simply means an operation of N arguments. (I've
taken the liberty of calling them if expressions in my draft LCS.) Second,
the association with assignments is circumstantial. Your wording gives the
impression that if expressions might only be allowed in that context,
whereas they are more generally useful and will be allowed in any context
where an expression may appear.

I'll try and review the paper more thoroughly after the New Year holiday.
I'm officially on break now, so don't tell my family I'm reading email now!
