Hi, I recently came across that it is not possible to create an array from a protected type in VHDL. Is there a particular reason for this limitation? The single elements in such an array should be independent from each other. As a workaround I implemented a more intelligent protected type: The array is now part of it and I had to adapt my function calls such that I can address the single elements. But the other way would have been nice as well.
