Hi Brent, I support the proposal, but I think the comments about compiler construction are out of date. 1971 is before compiler construction tools were available. Some tools have separate descriptions of scanner and parser e.g. flex and bison, and some tools have a single description e.g. antlr. Nevertheless, it is still a good idea to make the language easy to parse, and so I agree with the proposed parentheses.
