Hi,
Per Stan Krolikoski's, DASC chair, request below.
I would like to circulate the PAR supplement
document that I prepared and get a "quick
approval" of the study group on it.

Jim,
I think what you have produced is good. Is there any chance that you could get quick approval by the SG of your "PAR supplement" document? Right now it reads like Jim Lewis' opinion. The document
could still be couched as not cast in stone, but, rather, as the best current thinking of the Study Group. The only changes required to it would be to identify the references to you, and either
eliminate them or replace them with references to the SG.
I see no reason to change the PAR, but let me look at it again Monday morning with fresher eyes. This has been a long week.
Stan

Subject: 1076 Working Group PAR and supporting information on scope
Hi Stan,
The following is the draft of the PAR that was approved
by the 1076 study group:
http://www.eda-twiki.org/vasg/p1076_2014_draft_par.pdf
Although I expressed concern about the scope and purpose
in this morning's DASC meeting, I read the scope and purpose
from IEEE standard 1076-2008 and find that it is written in a
similar style, so I guess I don't see any necessary changes at
this point in time. In 4+ years from now when the
standard revision is due, it is likely that IEEE-SA will
have some new requirements that we will need to conform
to :), so I am not inclined to worry about it.
I have also finished the PAR supplementary scope document
and put on the VASG website at:
http://www.eda-twiki.org/vasg/docs/par_supplement_2011_0106.pdf
It further references a document where I collected more
detailed summaries of discussions and links to the start of
the discussion threads. This document is posted at:
http://www.eda-twiki.org/vasg/docs/par_scope_elaboration_2011_0106.txt
Let me know if there are any further issues I need to address
before it is sent to DASC for vote.
Best Regards,
Jim
