Hi all,
I also agree that keeping money out of the realms of technical discussion is a must: When I read Jim's initial email, I resolved to myself that "this time around I *will* contribute" (rather than lurk as I have been for a number of years now). But if that contribution will cost money, rather than just my own personal time, then I can't afford it. And I seriously doubt my ability to persuade my company to part with cash in this realm (which doesn't currently form a huge part of its portfolio).
Just my 2p worth :)
