Steve, I move to approve the MoU, or if someone else has already so moved, I second their motion. Cheers, PA -- Dr. Peter J. Ashenden peter@ashenden.com.au Ashenden Designs Pty. The MOU outlines how the two groups will work together by maximizing the strengths of both groups and avoiding redundant effort. The MOU is not a legal document. >From a legal perspective, the IEEE retains the rights to the VHDL LRM copyright and Accellera is creating derivative works under permission from the IEEE which will be turned over to the IEEE. The MOU is simply a statement of how the two groups will work cooperatively. The MOU is attached for your review. The Accellera VHDL TC approved the MOU yesterday. I ask for a motion and a second to place the MOU to a vote of the WG ASAP. Thank you. ------------ Stephen Bailey Product Marketing Manager, ModelSim Mentor Graphics sbailey@model.com 303-775-1655 (mobile, preferred) 720-494-1202 (office) <file://www.model.com> www.model.com <<AccelleraVASGmouV7Approved.pdf>>Received on Sun Aug 7 18:10:41 2005
