Hi Tim,

Peter is welcome to also comment on this. Here's my perspective:

1. Yes we are voting on the amended motion. The amendment was voted against by Peter.

2. When Peter voted against Jim's motion to amend, he was acting as a member of the 1076 WG, not as the DASC Chair.

3. As DASC Chair, Peter's responsibility it to ensure that the PAR is properly formed, that the WG did indeed approve the PAR as submitted to him and that the PAR is consistent with the purpose of the DASC and that the need for the revision is valid. In this role, he cannot apply his opinion as a WG member to veto what the majority of the WG had agreed to.

If Peter finds any procedural/scope issues with the PAR or the WG's approval of it, he will let us know and we will have the opportunity to remedy the situation.
