Subject: [vhdl-200x] Merger of Math Packages (P1076.2) with 1076

The 1076.2 Working group has voted to approve the merger of 1076.2 with 1076. The benefits of merging the Math Packages into 1076 are:

1. Easier to maintain the packages with any future language changes.

2. Easier distribution of the HDL source of the packages within the standard.

There are no immediate plans to modify these packages. Where immediate is defined as within the fast-track timeframe (this year) of the VHDL 200x effort. Requests for changes/modifications of the packages for a future language revision will be considered.

This is a call for vote to accept the merger of the 1076.2 standard into 1076, please respond with:

1. ____ Affirmative (optional comments will be recorded).

2. ____ Negative (no comments).

3. ____ Negative with comments...

4. ____ Abstain.

Please submit your vote NLT than 5pm Eastern time (US), 14 May 2004.
