Thank you Peter for serving as the election officer.
As Working Group Chair, my plans are to continue the work that we have begun toward the next language revision which includes VHPI and the 1st revision of "VHDL-200x" capabilities. As quality technical editing of the draft and final LRMs will be required, I will work with Accellera and the IEEE to secure funding, as needed, for these activities. I will also continue to push forward with the 2nd revision of new capabilities that are being planned under the "VHDL-200x" umbrella.
My position with my employer is synergistic with my IEEE participation as I have the opportunity to visit many VHDL users to both promote our work and solicit inputs into the revision process. I also enjoy the full backing of my company and management in my standards participation activities.
I appreciate your continued support.
Stephen Bailey
Current 1076 Working Group Chair
Secretary, DASC
