While I am not cheering on or otherwise contributing to the schizophrenia in the Verilog/SystemVerilog (1364) group, I thought this membership might be interested in reading this article.

So far, we have avoided these turf battles, etc. in VHDL 200x. Hopefully, we can continue to do so as they are not beneficial to the end user.
