We don't.
Since the LRM is inconsistent and it is preferable to make 'wait' distinctive, I think either italic or bold Courier is ok.
While there are places where it has the regular font, it is better to make it different.

Hi,
Even I am not sure which font is correct for 'wait'. In the LRM, I see three different ways to write it: italic, bold courier and regular.
But I see no harm in making it italic as there are places in the LRM where it is italic.
Do we have any style document for this type of thing ?
Thanks.
Manisha
