Subject: Call for nominations for IEEE P1647 Vice Chair
As has been announced by Darren in a separate email, I am serving as return= ing officer for the election of a P1647 Vice Chair.
The first business is to gather nominations for this post.  If you wish to nominate someone for this position, please let me know via email by 17:00 P= DT September 2, 2010 (two weeks from today).
Several points of clarification:
* Self-nominations are allowed
* There is no requirement for you to get permission from a person whom you wish to nominate.  However, "common committee sense" would dictate that you do so, since any person nominated may decline the honor.
As a matter of logistics, please (if possible) send nominations to me as a reply to this email.  This will help me keep track of returning emails.  Nomination emails need not be made public, so decide whether you want to 'reply all" before sending.
