  • AI Check In
    • AI: Jim talk to vendors about space ship operator and its implementation.
    • AI: What ranked proposal do you want to work on.
  • By December, need LCS for proposals that will go into standard.
  • December to March - prepare final document.
  • David Bishop
    • Original VHDL code from VHDL-2008.
    • Has VHDL-93 compatible versions
    • Vendor Work around versions - ?GitHub? -
      • Fixed Point, Floating Point - these are pre-donation versions based on David's paper.
      • modifications to math_real
    • Matrix package?
  • Interfaces
    • Can we do it without spaceship operator?
      • Lieven: If it is not a clock do we care?
      • Rob: Can't find counter example
    • Can we have signal collapsing the way we have port collapsing
    • Semantics of spaceship need to be identical to port map.
  • AI
    • AI: Rob to create AXI example with separate Clk and Reset port with the expectation that there is no space ship operator and only delta cycle free operations are on port maps
    • AI: All: Why have bundles. Why not just record in and record out?
    • Without spaceship, we loose some of the attractiveness of the interface?
