The vote to approve the draft of P1076.1.1 closed yesterday. According to the Working Group Operating procedures this approval was subject to 75% of the Voting members returning their vote, and 75% of the votes received, not counting abstentions, being affirmative.
The IEEE P1076.1 Working Group currently has 7 Voting Members. All of them returned affirmative votes. The Voting members are: Peter Ashenden, Ernst Christen, Zhichao Deng, Joachim Haase, David Smith, Alain Vachoux, John Willis. This means that both criteria have been met, and the draft of P1076.1.1 has been approved by the Working Group.
In addition, I received votes from the following members of the Working Group who are not Voting Members: François Pêcheux, Thuy Tran, Mark Zwolinski. All their votes were affirmative as well.
The next step will be balloting at the IEEE level. To this end I have started the formation of a balloting group. If you are a member of IEEE-SA and have indicated interest in balloting IEEE draft standards in EDA, you should soon get an invitation to become a member of the balloting group.
