Enhancement Summary: Enhance VHDL to allow for the modeling of
bi-directional devices such as switches and jumpers.

Enhancement Detail:
There are many devices on a typical digital board that are
bi-directional in nature. Examples are bus switches, resistors, relays,
dip switches etc. VHDL currently has no constructs to support the
modeling of these simple devices. I propose enhacing the language to
facilitate such models.
