Regarding indexes, > The Champions would like to raise the question on when the index must be > generated? How much time is allocated? What is the cutoff date? See the following: ==================== Hi Tom: See my answers following. From: "Fitzpatrick, Tom" <tom_fitzpatrick@mentorg.com> To: "Srouji,Johny" <johny.srouji@intel.com>, <n.humenick@ieee.org> Subject: 1364 Draft 5 Questions 12/27/2004 03:44 PM Hi Johny and Noelle, Shalom reminded me to check with you on a couple of issues for the Draft 5 version. 1) What changes can be made after the ballot? After the initial ballot closes, the document can be changed in any way that the working group wishes. However, those changes must be marked on the draft, using underlines, strikethroughs, and change bars, to indicate that those portions of the draft are open for comment during the recirculation ballot(s). Specifically, Shalom hasn't started on the Introduction section yet, and expressed concern that it would make Draft 5. Would it be OK to update the Introduction subsequent to the ballot? The Introduction is NOT an official part of the standard and can be completed post-ballot. However, it is a courtesy to let the ballot/working group see it. 2) Can the index be added after the ballot? Yes, the index can be added after the ballot. 3) Can you assist in providing a list of names of contributors to the spec? The working group list is to be maintained by the secretary of the working group, according to the wg's rules for membership in the working group. The IEEE is not involved at this level, generally. This list needs to be provided to the IEEE when the document is submitted for approval by the SASB. The IEEE will, however, provide the final list of balloters to the IEEE Project Editor assigned to publish the final document. This list will be by entity, as will the working group list. We also will allow the working group to supply a list of individual names (with their company affiliation) to be included in an "acknowledgements" section. If you have any other questions, please let me know. Thanks, Noelle -- Shalom.Bresticker @freescale.com Tel: +972 9 9522268 Freescale Semiconductor Israel, Ltd.
