Kathy seconds. No objections. No abstains. Motion passes + Minutes of the previous meeting (Vote) John moves that we approve kathy seconds No objections. No abstains. Motion passes + SV-XC participation - Committee discussed the lack of momentum and felt the need to escalate to the Working Group. Based on the current momentum, there is serious concern if the group will be able to come up with additions to the standard. - Kathy raised a concern that the SV-XC material should not be tied to SystemVerilog standard. She feels that the SV standard may not be the right vehicle. John mentioned that a new PAR would be necessary if a new vehicle is desired. - Somdipta proposed that improving customer partipcation would help. It was not clear how this can be accomplished. John mentioned that customers are waiting for technical material that they can review. - Committee discussed proposals to change the frequency of the meeting. These discussions were inconclusive. Meeting will continue on a two-week schedule, but can be cancelled if no technical material is available. Kathy mentioned that Cadence does not intend to participate in the committee meetings if no technical material is available. + Review and approve "Opaque type requirements" Committee reviewed the proposal. Use cases for opaque types. 1. Passing a class object from the testbench to dut through a port boundary. 2 Passing a specific object from language A to language A or C, through language B. 3. Passing SV interfaces to other languages. Sandwich use case. Committee reviewed the opaque proposal. Committee agrees with the proposal of providing opaque types in all langauges. However opaque types are not a requirement as part of the first specification produced by sv-xc. (A/I John) will modify the proposal to incorporate: (a) interface use case (b) making it a non requirement for the first cut binding proposal. Logie will propose an email vote when the final draft is available. + Adjournment motion John moves that we adjourn, Kathy seconds + Pending Action Items (from previous meetings) (A/I Kathy) will come up with requirements for object kind compatibility (wires/variables/signals) requirements. ------------------------------------------------------------------------ - + Additional information: 1.
