Hi, I can clarify a little. > > The IEEE used to have what is known as "1800-2008 draft 3a" > for sale. > I > > just > > spent some time trying to find it in the IEEE web pages. > > > > Back in October, Dave Rich pointed to the following information for > it. However, it indeed appears to be no longer available. > > I was able to find the following. The publication date is > showing up > > as 1/1/2007. Draft 3a came out on May 31, 2007. For some parts of IEEE, this replaces IEEE 1800-2005. It is labelled 2007 because that is the IEC publication date, but the body is IEEE 1800-2005. They also made some editing and formatting changes at the beginning and end. The difference in the number of pages (668 instead of 648) is mainly because they start page numbering with the introductory material (Table of Contents, etc.). I also found on IEEEXPlore one more version at http://ieeexplore.ieee.org/servlet/opac?punumber=4040481, labelled: P1800/D6, Aug 2005 IEEE Unapproved Draft Standard for SystemVerilog: Unified Hardware Design, Specification and Verification Language Superseded by P1800/D6 Status: Archived Approved Draft Publication Date: 2005 I was unable to access the document itself, but according to the label, this is the Draft 6 version that preceded IEEE Std 1800-2005. We should get that deleted.
