[P1800] SV-Champions Minutes for 9/7/06

The Champions met today to review all of the issues that the SV-*
committees have passed.  Our resulting spreadsheet of issues for

Karen directed everyone's attention to the IEEE Patent Policy found at:

Process to be used.  The database process can be found at:
http://www.eda-twiki.org/sv/SV_DB_Proc.html  The Champions will review all
issues in the resolved state.  They make a recommendation to the P1800
with respect to the issues, in particular, looking for issues that cross
SV-* boundaries that require joint work across the committees.

		AI: Neil to fix the color coding in the proposal for
1308

Additional issues to be raised:
		SV-AC is considering a new keyword "implicit".  Mantis
1549.  SV-AC is currently voting on that.   Champions have concerns with
this with respect to other features in the language where this feature
could be made more general across the language, dynamic types in
mailboxes for example.  Other examples of local changes in this category
are $error, etc.  In general, we recommend that all of the SV-*
committees apprise the other committees of their enhancements especially
those that involve new keywords and system functions, so everyone is
looking to generalize the constructs.

		AI:  Brad (BC), Dave (EC), Francoise (CC) Apprise the
indicated committees of issue 1549 and the possibility of adding a
keyword

		AI:  Karen:  Direct all SV-* Chairs to apprise all other
committees on enhancements especially those involving new keywords and
system functions.  This is especially important for the SV-AC due to the
lack of overlap with the other committees.
