Hi All, 

Here is a short update on the PAR that was approved by P1800 WG in our 
last meeting. I have made all changes as captured in the minutes, but I 
was unable to change the sponsors to reflect joint sponsorship between CAG 
and DASD. I have contacted Mary and Jodi from the IEEE and submitted the 
PAR to them. They indicated there is a new version of the PAR to be used, 
but it still does not capture joint sponsorship between DASD and CAG. 

Therefore, I plan to get the new version of the PAR and migrate the 
contents into this version (no change of contents as were approved). I 
will then submit the PAR to NESCOM as is indicating the sponsorship is 
jointly between CAG and DASD (unless the PAR form is fixed before). I plan 
to submit before 6/15. 

As for current technical activities, there have been some questions 
related to the scope of the committees. I propose that technical 
committees follow the spirit of our newly approved PAR (by the P1800 WG), 
which implies that they keep working on Errata, issues, local enhancements 
and SVA. Having said that, technical proposals will only be considered as 
work-in-progress and recommendations until our new PAR is officially 
approved by NESCOM, after which these technical recommendations can be 
brought up to the champions committee for their review. As in the past, 
recommendations will be ratified by the P1800 WG members. 

As for the merge of 1364 and 1800 standards, I believe it is pending 
funding (process for collecting fees has started) and technical editing.
