You can read a bit-select or part-select of a user-defined nettype. You just can't drive or force them.

Subject: [sv-dc] RE: Revised proposal for 3398 and response to Shalom's comments
Hi,
In this proposal, 10.6.2 now says that the LHS of a force "shall not be a bit-select or a part-select of a variable or of a net with a user-defined nettype".
The emphasis that a bit-select of a net with a user-defined nettype may not appear in this context implies that it may appear in other contexts.
I understood that it is not so. Am I correct?
Is the proposal explicit enough about that?
If such a select is not possible, then this sentence would be confusing.
Regards,
Shalom
