I've uploaded a version 3 of the proposal onto:
http://www.eda-twiki.org/svdb/view.php?id=3398
Major notes for version 3 include "6.7.2 Initialization of user-defined
nets"
and three variants for the proposed "collapsing" rules for 23.3.3. Other
miscellaneous suggestions from version 2 were also incorporated,
including a tightening of the side-effect free requirement for
resolution functions.
For the 23.3.3 change, I went ahead and wrote a third variant
which is a "conditional collapsing" rule that is a bit more similar
to the structural net rules in legacy verilog. There was some
consensus that we wanted one of the two tighter alternatives
("always collapse" or "collapse only inouts") but it might be
useful to have the third option present for discussion purposes.
Please raise comments/concerns about this asap since this will
likely be review with the Verilog-AMS committee on April 14.
Gord.
