Hi Lisa: I think that Yaniv addressed all of your questions. Let me echo a few things he said. The purpose of the property_statement layer is to try to enable the syntax with case and if-else to look more like the rest of the language, where no semicolon is required after "endcase", for example, but where semicolon may be found at the end of a case item. The production property_expr ::= property_statment ensures that if-else is backward compatible -- nothing is lost.
