Hi Lisa,

May be I am missing your point, old code does not need to check anything so ok. Bottom line in my mind, added info is ok, issues arise with a change.

Thx.

But doesn't the customer re-use old code on new projects? In that case
it will not be backwards compatible.

I think it is -- old code does not have initial_check.

The type change is a bug in document so also ok I think.

Thx.

So are you saying it is not backwards compatible.

1) Yes, an extra property now -- in the "before code" initial_check is
not used ...
2) I think it was added on the scope diagram in another mantis item so
no.

** Dmitry: Thanks to Lisa's (1) I see that the bool return is wrong,
should be int, please mark in BLUE where needed.

REPLACE
-> always type
bool: vpiAlwaysType

WITH
-> always type
int: vpiAlwaysType
-> initial type
int: vpiInitialType

Thx.
-Bassam.

I have a few questions. I remember reviewing this before but now have
new questions:

1. Will it be backwards compatible to have vpiInitialType. Existing
code sees vpiInitial and does not have to check for the type. That code
will no longer work when both types exist. It worked for vpiAlways
because the type already existed.

2. Should global clock be a part of the diagram for 36.9, similar to
default clock?
