Re: [sv-ac] survey

Hi Folks:

Well, "mutatis mutandis" seems to have struck a nerve.  I paused
before writing it, but I put it in for several reasons:

1. I figured that anyone who didn't know this already would be
   able to find it in 5 seconds online.

2. It seems to me to say exactly what needs to be said.

To elaborate on 2, we give the main discussion of the rules for
arguments in 16.7, which is limited to sequences.  Then in 16.12 we
want to say that all those rules apply to properties, apart from the
specific exceptions listed.

However, if I read the rules from 16.7 conservatively, they do not
apply to properties at all because they talk about named sequences,
not named properties.

The "mutatis mutandis" is supposed to say that such a conservative
reading is not what is intended.

It would be more convenient if we had a single section to talk about
the commonalities of named sequences and properties and we relegated
the peculiarities to other sections.  But achieving this would require
more rewriting, and we are short on time.

I can find a phrase in plain English to replace the "mutatis mutandis".
