John,

There is a substantial discussion going on in BC/EC regarding
fundamental questions of name resolution.  There is likely
going to be a face-to-face on Sept 24 (date subject to change)
in San Jose to discuss the overall issues and try to find
consensus.  If we can find consensus then we'll work on writing
up specific proposals.  It may be that some of this would impact
AC issues although that isn't completely clear.  In any case,
if you would like to raise this in AC to see if anyone would
like to participate, you are certainly welcome to do so.
