(page 4) . 1681: + proposal should not update the 2008 version specifier . 1768: + Add a note to editor in green in section 16.14.3 to say "changes in this section are additive to those in 1599 and should not conflict in any way". - Some house cleaning (i.e., what should we do with these old items?) . 0921: Semantics of subroutines attached to sequences [DB] . 0966: $isunbounded [EC] . 1036: Incorporate by reference Accellera PSL [DK] . 1147: Find way to embed PSL [DK] . 1296: Annex F does not define all clocked derived forms [JH] . 1494: Inferring enabling condition for coverage statement [DK] . 1502: Decision point definition [DK] - New items (i.e., what should we do with these new items?) . 1800: Throughout example incorrect [] . 1804: Option to require equivalent types for typed arguments [] . 1833: Immediate assertion racing (recommend moving to observed region) [] . 1849: Update VPI object diagrams for immediate assume, cover [] . 1852: Reference named sequence or property before declaration [] - 1549: Semantics of arguments [Argument Subcommittee & JH] . Ready to vote? - 1668: Local var initializers [JH] - 1728: Let proposal [EC, DK] - 1932: LTL operators [DK, DB] - 1757: accept_on, reject_on - 1900: Checkers [ES] - 1682: Future value functions [DK] - 1756: Control of assertions in initial blocks [EC] - 1758: Boolean operators ->, <-> [EC] Notes: ------ - Reminder of IEEE patent policy. - Results of e-mail ballots on 1361, 1601, 1681, 1722, 1768 and friendly amendments. . Blue coloring for all new text, even entire sections, for all proposals. . 1361: + alignment of text between 19.10 and 19.11. AI: JH will check and move to resolved. + fix font of $assertpassoff (page 3) + fix font of paragraph introduced with "Clause 19.10 ..." (page 4) + Voice vote to confirm the friendly amendments. 8y/0n/0a. The chair was not eligible. . 1681: + proposal should not update the 2008 version specifier + ultimately, the proposal that was passed was the same, so there was no amendment. . 1768: + Add a note to editor in green in section 16.14.3 to say "changes in this section are additive to those in 1599 and should not conflict in any way". + Voice vote to confirm the friendly amendment. 8y/0n/0a. The chair was not eligible. - Some house cleaning (i.e., what should we do with these old items?) . 0921: Semantics of subroutines attached to sequences [DB] . DB: similar semantics to "disable iff" should make this easier, but there is still the multiplicity problem. . Consensus was that this is not a priority for 2008. . 0966: $isunbounded [EC] . EC: lower priorty to "low". . 1036: Incorporate by reference Accellera PSL [DK] . AI: JH will move to SV-XC. . 1147: Find way to embed PSL [DK] . AI: JH will move to SV-XC. . 1296: Annex F does not define all clocked derived forms [JH] . AI: JH will lower the priority. . 1494: Inferring enabling condition for coverage statement [DK] . DK: lower priority, and address it if there is time . 1502: Decision point definition [DK] . AI: DK will close it. - New items (i.e., what should we do with these new items?) . 1800: Throughout example incorrect [] . DB will take ownership of this. . 1804: Option to require equivalent types for typed arguments [] . DB: In current proposal, we do not require actual argument to have matching type. . Consensus that lint tools can take care of this and we don't need to standardize this feature. Voice vote not to address this. 8y/0n0a. The chair was not eligible. JH will do mantis state change. . 1833: Immediate assertion racing (recommend moving to observed region) [] . DK: There will be a new mantis item and we can then we can close this. . BT: We should give a response to the user. JH will take responsibility for the response. . 1849: Update VPI object diagrams for immediate assume, cover [] . BT: will take ownership of this. VPI diagrams should be handled by SV-CC. BT will check if VPI diagrams were in the proposal for immediate assume, cover and proceed accordingly. . 1852: Reference named sequence or property before declaration [] . YF will take ownership. - 1549: Semantics of arguments [Argument Subcommittee & JH] . Ready to vote? . There were changes resulting from 1601 to the Clause 16 part of the proposal. . DB reviewed the Annex F part and said it looks good. . DK asked for some time before the vote is called to review the materials. . JH will call for vote next Monday, 2007-08-13. - 1668: Local var initializers [JH] . JH needs to address Dmitry's feedback. . EC completed review of the Annex F part. - 1728: Let proposal [EC, DK] . JH sent feedback. DK, EC will try to revise within a week. - 1932: LTL operators [DK, DB] . LP sent comments. Syntax concerns remain. . DK, DB will entertain specific alternative proposals for syntax. . ##0, ##1 for followed by have problems because of operator precedence and, more severely, semantic distinction between the sequence and property interpretations of the operators. . JH still needs to review the proposal. - 1757: accept_on, reject_on . JH still needs to review the proposal. . YF completed review. The formal semantics for reject_on should be made to look more like the dual of accept_on. Also, 1932 has a version of the definition that is not aligned. . DB will review 1932 and 1757 for alignment of the definitions. - 1900: Checkers [ES] . ES is working on the explicit LRM changes. . DK: Do we want to allow plain design style inside a checker? TT said that he would find out if it is important. TT is getting mixed feedback. FV people seem to like the existing proposal. DK: advantage of allowing everything in checker is that you can put covergroups, e.g. The problem is that all the committees will become involved. . JH recommended trying to modularize the proposal so that a core proposal has a better chance of getting into the 2008 LRM even if some extensions to add more items in checkers meet with resistence. EC suggested making separate mantis items. - 1682: Future value functions [DK] . DB will review. - 1756: Control of assertions in initial blocks [EC] . YF will review. - 1758: Boolean operators ->, <-> [EC] . LP, BT will review. Next meeting: ------------- 2007-08-21 at 16:00 UTC (11:00 CDT), 2 hour slot.Received on Tue Aug 7 13:09:40 2007
