Hi,

I did not review every word, but it looks pretty good to me.

However, it is becoming very wordy with the listing of all the constructs. We should try to use more compact terms.

For example, maybe on page 3, the following text,

" - assertion_type: This argument selects the assertion types and unique, unique0 and priority if and case construct types (see 12.4.2) that are affected by the $assertcontrol system task."

could be replaced by

" - assertion_type: This argument selects the assertion and violation report types that are affected by $assertcontrol."

Also, by adding two new control_types (12 and 13), corresponding new VPI callbacks probably need to be added in Table 20-8.
(By the way, types 7 and 8 should probably be in reverse order in that table.)
