Vassilios,
IBM's premise has been that Accellera committees worked by consensus,
not by decree.
By your note to John (2/11/03 titled "Re: [sv-ac] expressing a concern"),
you seem to be rendering null and void the immense amount of work
accomplished in the FVTC over the past three years, all of which was
done through a documented and democratic process.
In addition, you seem to be declaring in advance the outcome of the
SV-AC review process, which has barely begun.
This is not acceptable to IBM. Nor do you have this authority in the
organization which we joined.
The only acceptable thing from IBM's view is to allow the democratic
process to continue unhindered. We have no problem with considering
unification issues in the FVTC for PSL LRM version 1.1. In fact, we
have some ideas in that regard that would improve both SVA and PSL,
in our opinion.
But 1.0, having been almost unanimously approved by the FVTC, should go
to the board for approval in a timely manner (i.e. now).
