Dear SV-AC committee,

To move forward, I must clarify some of the statements that I
provided to this committee.
This was pointed out to me by Cindy. This is the clarification:
1- SV-AC Technical Committee: SV-AC is responsible for decision making, like
acceptance of donation and voting on an LRM. This is always has been the
case since the creation of OVI and Accellera.
a- If the SV-AC committee decides not to accept OVA, then the DWG
cannot use it as part of the synchronization effort.

2- DAS 1.0 assertion committee developed a Verilog-based assertion language
which is the embedded assertion portion of SystemVerilog. This was
originally developed by a small group and was offered for the full committee
to debate, finalize and became part of SystemVerilog 3.0 through the normal
voting process. The DWG is now continuing this process by building an LRM
for DAS 2.0 to become the embedded assertion language for SystemVerilog 3.1.
DAS 2.0 will be debated by the SV-AC committee. SV-AC will be the primary
group to vote this into the SV 3.1 LRM.
a- The SV synchronization with PSL will happen based on the guidance
of the Accellera board.
b- As guided by the Accellera board, we will also work with the VFV
to continue the synchronization and cooperation between the two committees.
Accellera has been given the chance to unify these efforts. Our Accellera
members have requested and we will continue our efforts.
c- PSL activities to lead the industry in the advancement of formal
property language will continue. This is the opinion of everyone within
Accellera, including myself who has started the FVTC committees effort.

3- As a rule we have made participation in Accellera committees open and
everyone has unmoderated access to the email reflectors. That does open us
up to abuse. I would request everyone one in the committees to focus on the
task at hand and try not to let flaming emails disrupt our progress. In
future if people, especially outsiders, have issues they should address them
to the board and myself directly. Flaming the whole group is disruptive,
unprofessional and against Accellera guidelines

Best Regards

Vassilios
