In light of this feedback and earlier feedback we'll abort the ballot. We'll revisit the document and send it out later for re-review and re-balloting. This all is in line with the IntelliGen engine, currently used by default. However, there is also a section on gen .. before and generation cycles. Those concepts no longer apply, gen..before is ignored, and cycles are now called ICFS (explained in section 10.2.6) The gen..before thing is only recognized by the old generator (Pgen), which does NOT follow the CFS concept, and does NOT report ICFSs. In short, both are mutually exclusive. I therefore would advise to either remove the gen..before section, or explain that it is no longer applicable. A similar contention exists between chapter 10.2.7.1.1 when Subtype Dependencies in Constraints and chapter 10.4.8 keep gen_before_subtypes()/10.4.9. keep reset_gen_before_subtypes() . 10.2.7.1.1. applies to IGen 10.4.8/9 applies to PGen and is ignored in currently supported version of Specman. -hannes -----Original Message----- From: owner-ieee1647@eda.org [mailto:owner-ieee1647@eda.org] On Behalf Of darren.galpin@infineon.com Sent: 17 July 2014 11:26 To: ieee1647@eda.org Subject: RE: Constraints chapter - new ballot Just a gentle reminder that the ballot has been open for two days, but as yet with no votes..... I'll assume that you are all busy devouring the contents and will give fulsome review comments and approvals early next week. :) Cheers, Darren _____________________________________________ From: Galpin Darren (IFGB ATV MCD SIP CV) Sent: Tuesday, July 15, 2014 8:57 AM To: 'ieee1647@eda.org' Subject: Constraints chapter - new ballot Hi, This refers to the following Mantis issues: http://www.eda-stds.org/mantis/view.php?id=4318 http://www.eda-stds.org/mantis/view.php?id=4336 And refers to the following version of the document: http://www.eda-twiki.org/twiki/pub/P1647/DownLoads/constraints_CompreshensiveUpdates_2014-07-08.pdf This version of Chapter 10 was sent out for group review last week, and no additional feedback has been received. Therefore I am announcing a ballot, opening today and running for a week, on the following question. Do you approve that this version of the document (for chapter 10) should be included in the LRM? Please reply to the reflector with your response, or with any feedback on the document which you feel needs to be addressed. Cheers, Darren PS. In my last e-mail I stated that the Mantis issue for Specman referenced in notes was moved to Closed/Fixed. This is incorrect - it was moved to Completed/Fixed - we will close all issues once we have addressed all of those we intend to and have a complete LRM. -------------------------------------------------------------------- Darren Galpin Tel: +44 117 9528741 Infineon Technologies Fax: +44 117 9528777 Infineon House Darren.Galpin@infineon.com<mailto:Darren.Galpin@infineon.com> Great Western Court Hunts Ground Road Stoke Gifford Bristol, BS34 8HP, England -------------------------------------------------------------------- -- This message has been scanned for viruses and dangerous content by MailScanner, and is believed to be clean. -- This message has been scanned for viruses and dangerous content by MailScanner, and is believed to be clean.Received on Mon Jul 21 03:14:54 2014
